In his early life, he was a member of Landmark Temple Apostolic Church, in Holly Springs, MS under the leaderships of Pastor Mario Price, Pastor H. and Magnes Glover great-grand father Van Vester Gatewood and Tommy Lee Sykes an uncle Curtis Glover some very special cousins Bishop Michael T Gatewood Sr., TaVandrick M Dowdy, Sr., Melvin Brown, Selita Sykes and other friends/relatives. His beloved family who preceded him in death: mother Mitzie Evon Gatewood~Glover grandmother Earnestine Sykes great-grand mothers Norvia Ella Gatewood and Ola Mae Sykes grandfathers Thomas R Sykes Sr. His life transitioned from earth on February 6, 2023, in Memphis, TN. He attended and graduated from Holly Springs High School, in Holly Springs MS. Crystal has two daughters, Braylinn and Kyrie, and a son, Brayden.Courtney Cortez Gatewood "CC", transitioned on Monday, February 6, 2023, in Memphis, TN.Ĭourtney Cortrez Gatewood, born February 13,1986, to the late Mitzie Evon Gatewood~Glover, nurtured by his father Michael Glover, Sr. She was a Board Member and Softball Coach at Bush Recreational in Bush, LA, from 2018-2020, as well as interned at St. Crystal is an Honors student at Delgado Community and member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. In addition, she is also pursuing her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice at Southeastern University in Hammond, LA. She is seeking her dual license (Funeral Director/Embalmer) in funeral service at Delgado Community College in New Orleans and graduated in Spring 2022. Crystal also awarded the Silky Sullivan Scholarship award, while attending Northshore Tech. She graduated from North Shore Technical Community College in 2018 with the distinct honors of “Magnum Cum Laude” with an Associates in General Studies. In his spare time, Rusty enjoys serving others, family and friends and his dogs Maggie and Jolie.Ĭrystal was born in Marrero and lived in Jefferson Parish for her first 15 years before moving and becoming a resident in St. Rusty served 3 years in the United States Army, is Past King and a member of Krewe du Grande Bois, Past Commander of Son’s of the American Legion, past member of the Lake Charles Diocese ACTS Mission Chapter, supporter of Boy Scouts and served as a Deputy with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for over 11 years. Rusty and his wife Denise have 2 Son’s and 2 Grandchildren after residing in Westlake, La. Rusty attended McNeese State University and is a graduate of Westlake High School, Central Texas College, Commonwealth College of Funeral Service and the 96th Basic Regional Law Enforcement Academy. Rusty Rougeou, a native of Westlake, Louisiana, brings over 39 years of professional experience as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
